I like this book—I like it very much—dispite not loving mafia romances no generally finding them quite stupid actually—I like this. I like it a lot. It’s good and the fantasy element has been a fun layer too. The characters are very real and very interesting and cold as ice all around. Love it.

I liked the first one a lot—and this second book in the series is actually quite fun; it has gotten into some super intense action stuff and Ty just kicked major ass in a hand to hand battle with a space beast—which who wouldn’t be impressed by that? Very much enjoying this read so far.

Grief is a funny thing, that ebbs and flows across these pages—sometimes the numbness of depression is less painful than the sharp edge in the living after—sometimes it hurts more to realize that somebody loved you all along and is gone than losing them in the first place. I’ve almost cried at several parts of this book—the grief is very well written.

You ever have to take say, like, a two month break from a book to realize how much you were actually enjoying it and had been missing it this whole time? Yeah—coming back to this book was like that—like seeing old friends again and it was very nice. I’d missed it all this summer long. I’m glad to be back to the story.
