Another book in which I like the subject but hate the writer. Bo Parfet strikes me as a real ass. I wonder who was able to talk him out of his clearly preferred title "All the Times I was Smarter and Better than You and Everybody"

This book is gorgeously written. The most beautiful description of war I've read.

I don't mind the corpse stuff but I could do without the graphic descriptions of animal testing. I had to skip the section of trying to transplant dog's heads.

Erin Kippen is on page 35 of 341 of Eating Animals
I'm taking a break on this one until I get back from vacation and can seriously reevaluate my eating habits. The Omnivore's Dilemma spurred me to find a local grassfed beef farm and actual free range eggs, this might push me over the edge to free run chicken and giving up pork. I'm frankly scared of how hard this book is going to be to read.
