I hate this! It’s the first in the series but unless you know this author then you don’t know it’s NOT the first book involving EVERYONE in this series. This is a second series of these same people and every other page refers to murders, relationships, and conversations had in a whole other series.

I’m so very it. This is what I get for a free series of books from Amazon.

If you are Catholic you’re going to feel some kind of way. I’m not do much of the religious content is beyond me. Thankfully there’s a murder to solve!

This started so strong. I’m having a hard time putting this down to go to sleep!😳

Outrageous start but fun so far.

I hate when a story starts out with the main character being outrageously ignorant! She doesn't know basic medical information about HERSELF, she didn't confirm available tech to work remotely and she can't read Google maps! Key if you are relocating to a new place and have no support system. I put this down re-read 2 of my favorite JD Robb books and am contemplating if I'll continue this one.

I forgot how slow these period pieces can go. Quirky characters but there are too many if them and the author feels the need to detail every emotion, facial expression and outfit design before launching into necessary dialogue.

This is fun so far.

Nora Roberts is a chameleon. This jump started and has not stopped. I'm stressed out, amused and terrified. I'm only 17% of the way in. I'm not going to make it!😏

Not a fan of romance novels generally. This one is annoying right out the gate. I'm thinking this is not going to be fun😕

So far, so good. I like Rosemary and Vera!

This book keeps losing me. It keeps adding people to interfere with the investigation, distractions that muddy the story and slow the pace. Fee!ing like filler.

This is finally getting into the story as it relates to the crime. All the red herring nonsense is slowing the progress of the ase.

Ohh, this is classic Nora Roberts! So good, so intense. Such a great mystery - an awful villain, great characters, beautiful scenery. I'm enjoying every minute - when I'm not terrified!

Meh. Too many people to adequately build any backstory so folks are being murdered and I don't care because I don't know who they are or how the individuals introduced are connected. I'm not confused as the story is not at all complex. I find myself bored as there are better descriptions of the furniture than of the townspeople and their relationships. I'll keep going, it could get better.

I'm having a hard time with this. The murder is intriguing, there are a few side mysteries going on as well. It isn't the main character (who isn't really that believable), it's the partner dynamic that's rubbing me the wrong way. Under no circumstance would a person be able to get away with thus level of disrespect in the workplace and it be all right. I keep putting it down and moving on to better options.

Very intriguing so far.

I cannot begin to tell you how much I'm hating every bit of this. It's sci-fi , fantasy, which is not what I care for. I don't care about any of these people. The island, the lighthouse and the radio tower started off intriguing and now I'm bored and over it. I'll start another book and try to refocus to get through this.

This is dragging me along.

I'm not loving this. This is dipping into sci-fi and that's not what I signed up for. I'm going to continue to see where this takes me, but I'm already checking out.
