Slightly confusing tone-wise but I do like all the styling and food descriptions

Yes

Reading around the world: Maldives

This was okay. Most of the stories were quite similar and they just felt a bit bland overall. The art in this is definitely AI generated, which I'm not sure how I feel about. I did like the story The Gift of the Quiet Student though, it felt much more fleshed out and unexpected than the others.

This is so boring, I'm sorry

Reading 1-2 chapters everyday, feeling cozy <3

Frustratingly misogynistic but I couldn't find another book for Mozambique so I'll get through it somehow

Bit too long but I do enjoy it to some extent.

These books are so GOOD

Ok so the last 70 pages were waaaaay too long and boring

Can't stop reading it. A bit of sexism throughout but nothing that keeps me from enjoying it.

As the story is ramping up, so is my reading frequency of it. Not one bit too long so far.

Fluffy fluff that gets me through the third trimester

It's time to read something sad again...
(Couldn't find any non-sad books from Laos)

This book reads like it was written yesterday

This kind of lost me in part 2...

Also I love the scene where they're "wine tasting":
‘…It is a little shy wine like a gazelle.’
‘Like a leprechaun.’
‘Dappled, in a tapestry meadow.’
‘Like flute by still water.’
‘…And this is a wise old wine.’
‘A prophet in a cave.’
‘…And this is a necklace of pearls on a white neck.’
‘Like a swan.’
‘Like the last unicorn.’

Amusing and slightly cringy, like the stories your grandpa would tell

This book is pure hygge
