And this is the part where it starts getting bad... Later than in the anime, but still, a disappointment. The memory retreiving plan was the shark jumping moment of the series.

The main characters are really shallow about appearances and it stands out amongst all the weirdness.

If there is anything I don't like in these novels is that the author treats reading like a prestige hobby and occasionally sounds too judgmental of people with different interests.

So if God's power can be invoked against the bad guys and it's actually effective, why does Rionin state earlier in the book that the princesses' marriages (presumably blessed by a priest) have no effect in his realm? The way the Kingdom Under Stone works in this installment makes no sense and I'm pretty sure it contradicts the first book.

Why does this book treat the obvious as some kind of big reveal it has to announce in every second conversation?

Some of the sentences are difficult to follow. Is it poor writing or just a problem of the translation?

If there ever was a plot twist I wasn't expecting... A sloooow introduction, but it looks like the book finally picks up the pace!

I used to love this series but I see now that this is not the time for me to revisit it. The bullying from the adult characters hits a nerve.

I don't remember the first one being this mean spirited. There are so many comments about how a random passerby looks stupid or unattractive... Might be because of the different protagonist?

I like that this one is more of an anthology than the previous two, but some of the new artstyles are a downgrade imo.

The second mention of Loki's late family in a row. I know I shouldn't have such high hopes but still...

Clumsiness is not a real personality trait and repeating it every half-page won't turn it into one...
