Usually I like to remain positive. This is tough to get through.

Not bad. I appreciate how convincingly real the first half of the book was.

So far really good.
Mostly a combination of Halloween and Scream (I actually don’t care for the Scream movies). But the characters and plots are unique enough. Just got to a major flashback and it is very well written.

The story isn’t bad but this reads like an unpolished first draft.

So far very good. I have been on a Laundry kick all year. This one is from Alex the vampire’s perspective. I miss Bob being the narrator but this is a fresh perspective and I love the returning characters.

It isn’t bad, but I am having a hard time giving it my full attention. Can’t quite put my finger on why it doesn’t grip me.
The author’s other book Cosmology of Monsters was just so incredibly good in a way where you can’t stop reading and then once you finish the book, you read it another 2 times.

I can’t put it down. Written in a slightly different style than the magicians. Some of the story telling elements feel like Gaiman or King.
Outstanding approach to diversity and inclusion.

An interesting concept. Interview with a Werewolf. But there are so many references to a sexual assault of one of the characters - and it is extremely repetitive. Like every 2 minutes for hours of the audiobook they can’t resist saying the word and the reader can’t get away from it. I am not sure how an editor missed trimming some of it out.
If you can somehow get passed that, the writing is otherwise good.

So far really good. It’s like if office space and the X-Files had a baby in Britain, under something like James Bond’s MI6.

Incredible so far. I’m only a few chapters in but speed and authenticity really struck home.
