I don't often read historical but I am so glad I read this one! Settings, language, all of it right on spot. Loved it.

This book was written either late 30's or early 40's. I read all of Leslie Ford's book when I was younger and really enjoyed them. Insights into the times were priceless, especially those from Pearl Harbor. Sadly, her use of ethnic descriptions doomed her well written mysteries.

I absolutely LOVE this series! These characters are so southern, such sisters and such fun. This is a third or fourth read and still laughing.

I love a good, strong female character, but this one? Abrasive and rude, like brushing your teeth with an emery board. Didn't bother to finish.
