This book is a SLOG!!!! I can’t wait for it to be over. I was so excited when it was released bc Nick Cutter hasn’t really disappointed me yet, but this book is telling the WRONG story. The subplot/supporting characters in this are INFINITELY more interesting.

I’m learning that people can slap the horror genre on a book if there’s something supernatural going on even if it’s the most mundane story and nothing even resembling horror ever happens. Thinking about DNF but I’ve already given hours to it, maybe something will happen at the end….
