Really liking it so far, but it is making me really want to give the movie another watch.

Absolutely loved the series on Netflix and heard the source material was also excellent. Just now getting around to trying it out and impressed so far.

Decided to read this and The Haunting of Hill House at the same time because I'm trying to read daily short stories, but also have time to read a novel. It's been a very interesting parallel read.

Anytime you can find an audiobook narrated by Neil Gaiman, it's a good day.

Annnnnnd my library rental ran out. Will be anxious to get back to this one in the next 2-6 weeks.

This book is such a hopeful comfort read for me. Whereas I reread Hitchhiker's Guide when I need to get in the mindspace that there are many (or even most) things in my life I can't control, this is the comfort read I get back to when I'm starting to feel I can take charge again.

Gonna take a little while before the art becomes what I'm used to, but this has honestly been better than I remembered.

I had to stop early today, the plot basically stopped long enough for Rand to put in every whiny stereotype she could think of.

So when this novel's just a novel, I enjoy it. It's intriguing. When this novel is a treatise on philosophy, it's hysterical, or would be if it wasn't for the fact I know the author and a lot of her fans believe it.

Okay, I'm fully prepared to spend the next week and a half either not having fun at all, or being very pleasantly surprised by having incredibly low expectations.
