Needed a palette cleanser from that awful book I just read. I loved the Kate Daniel's series so I'm diving into another one!

Holy car crash Batman. I've managed to find another REALLY trashy vampire romance series. I don't think I'm going to continue reading this series because it's EXTREMELY problematic. Normalizes sexual assault, non-consent, self- harm, etc. I'm gonna finish this book though. Ever read something so bad you have to know how this fucked- up story is going to end? Yeah... that's where I'm at with this one...

Started reading this because the third book of the other series wasn't available to check out from the library. So far there is a lot of world building that is hard for me to wrap my head around. Has potential for me to really get into though. I like the murder mystery of the plot and how the story is building.

Well the narrator is actually British but I'm finding this re-telling pretty boring. It feels like I'm reading cliff notes instead of actual story-telling. :/

I'm actually really liking this series. Definitely going to keep reading.

This is such a long ass book.

This trilogy could easily be a netflix limited series. It's kinda addicting to read.

Last bread I made came out the best so far. I checked this out for a second month from the library.

So far this book has me intrigued but the lead character is kind of frustrating. It’s like girl- how many times does this man have to show and say he loves you until you get it??

Still trying various things to get the rise better. loaves are still coming out dense. tried steam tray with cast iron pan today and the crust was incredible! so slowly levelling up my gf game.

Oof. You know this book might not be starting well when there is national suicide hotline, national rape hotline, etc before the book gets started and the first line is about bodies being impaled....

God this book is so problematic, but the overall story is interesting to me. I'll read a book or two more from the series to see where it goes pending on how this book ends.

Having problems with dense loaves still. Tried to get my bread to continue to rise today and it was a no-go. It's like everythign is half-risen and REALLY frustrating. Might try to make something other than baguette and report back.

first bread (baguette) came out too dense. i will try again several times this week since I can only eat bland as hell food.

I'm back on my vampire shit. I need escapism badly.
