Steinbeck is a Master. We’re reading TWC as a family and it’s so delightful. Timeless is the word I’d use to describe this wildly entertaining fable of a man, the wide open road and his sweet co-pilot, Charlie.

Slow, building and deepening. Like a good pot of stock.

This book is boring and sad. It starts out with a lot of promise, but quickly descends into a poorly written and clumsy store line. Fortunately, it’s a quick read.

Daily doses of beautiful prose. A true gift of grace. Every morning I read a few poems. They linger just outside the edges of my mind throughout the day. Mary Oliver will forever be one of my most favorite American poets.
