yes i'm sick of this mediocre faerieland and couldn't care less about jude, and yet cardan development over the series is pathetically sloppish, which in turn stirs me a whim to see him in a different angle (yes i have a tidbit cardan bias, i can't bother to read the sequel on taryn, chị em nhà này có gì đâu mà đọc)

coincidentally enough this illustrated copy is so beautiful it makes a crime to miss

i got shivering chills every time a wind blows by or the icicles outside my windows crack, it’s so thrilling which i love

but to a point i’m too agitated (at this hour) to push forward, so i’ll just stop here

the death of Balder feels classic (as expected) and i have more reasons to dislike Thor, as well as other seemingly dumb gods of the Aesir

they were not the joyful greeks, nor petty human, all the while they only care about the surface and immediate fun and what else i already started to sound dumb as well
they just all feel so shallow in this particular story

love the journey to the land of the giants, which makes me want to rewarch Hilda so bad

oh dear the mead of poets was brutal AND good! just so naive of me to think it is poetic and sweet and all

This book gives me a Wes Anderson thrill - on papers!

Everything seems to never end, except that Halloween already ended this year. That means I’m two days past the deadline. A mental note sticking on top of repetitive mediocre tropes and a few great ideas.

I hate the way Mary Katherine is portrayed and how she behaves against her problem.

Wordplay here and there such as the pupil-the student, or a star-a sun-a sun is dying feels sloppy.

Is it just me or Christopher really grows out of his age? Regardless of the friend(s)/possession, he is still way too wholesome for a 7yo.

I love the unreliable POVs. I’ve seen Christ, Virgin Mary, compact with God, and my alignment to any of them switches back and forth - love it
