I’m going to finish this book but the way he speaks about Elene disgusts me. I don’t care if characters aren’t perfect, but his constant objectification of women is really off-putting.

Valen is kind of disgusting me. I’ll keep reading for now but the fact that he immediately starts hitting on and leans down to kiss a girl he essentially just met who did not indicate she was interested in reciprocating was really off-putting. In general the way he acts towards women is gross. I’m not surprised by a male main character being attracted to or hitting on women, but he’s a bit too presumptuous.
