I only managed 37% before I gave up. Liked the storyline but its long winded & didn't feel like I was getting anywhere. Also made me feel down when reading it as the narrator is unhappy. Didn't grip me enough to continue reading & as its 500 pages I didn't want to waste anymore time. It's unusual for me to give up reading a book but I really couldn't get on with this one.

OMG what a fabulous read. I'm enjoying every single page of this book. The history is fascinating and the descriptions make you feel you are there in Greece living the story.

We should have chosen this as one of our group reads.

I think it's a long book as although I'm 39% through it days I still have 6.5 hours left to read - but it is so worth it.
