Some beautiful writing at points, but after 300 pages of unrelenting profanity, violence, abuse, and all manner of depravity, I'm giving this a pass. I understand that there are these types of characters in life, but I don't want to immerse myself in them without an extremely compelling reason or narrative, and this just doesn't get there for me.
