It never ceases that a main character the claims to be smart and bright missed the plot righting front of them. Once again I am finding myself bored as I know what is coming next in this overused plot line and the author does a very poor excuse for an attempt to hide it.

I want to like this book. The premise is interesting and it seems to start a discussion about stereotypical masculinity and being a partner in a relationship. What urks me is how Thea says she contributed to her broken marriage but never really owns up to it. She is just mad and angry at men instead of addressing her own issues and actually try and save her marriage. It is poor me I am not happy but never told him

I am getting so frustrated and fed up with these fairy tale romances were if things hit a snag, the main characters break up and throw the relationship away. Then they bitch and moan about how things were perfect and one thing happened I am so miserable and pity me. No relationship is easy and without its bumps. You are going to have to fight for what it is that you want. I have no sympathy for Cozy right now.

So far not bad. I like Miki, but for someone so smart she really is so stupid. There is someone after her specifically, and has already attacked her. Instead of using the resources and people around her (including Conill and the pack) she runs away/ignores that someone is trying to kill her for some unknown reason. Who f*ing cares about you stupid dissertation and future professorship if you are dead. Priorities !!!

I have been taking my time reading this book, for all I want to do is shake Queenie and say "You silly silly girl. You matter! You are worthy of love! Stop letting people treat you like shit! We allow people to treat us in a manner we think we deserve, and you deserve more , because you matter! YOU MATTER Queenie!!!"

So far I don't see the appeal with this book. There are a lot of characters and backstories to remember and try to keep straight, which not my forte. In some ways I wish the story soley focused on the two main characters and then saved Ingrid for a book of her own. but then again I am only 15% read.

I do not like Violet, in fact I almost hate her. One guy hurts her and you are determined to turn away this awesome guy who has his own issues that he is trying to work through. He is making an effort to change himself and his lifestyle for you, and what does she do. One mistake and she runs away. where is her and willingness to at least try in this relationship. News flash: relationships are hard, they take work.
