just some light holiday reading to end the year 😌

the first time i read this i hadn't experienced a queer abusive relationship and then that I just got out of a long cycle of abuse (and queer too) this is hitting me like a ton of bricks this time around. i knew this was going to be a challenging reread, i've sobbed so many times, but it's so powerful, healing, and transformative and i can't stop reading.

okay let me finally finish this book

i'm loving this book so much more and it's completely consuming my life but i need to pick up the pace on it 😩

rereading this for class and i'm so excited it's already hitting so much harder the second time around

one thing about me im gonna eat up a riley sager book

had to read something spooky before October ends. Sager is for sure my go to author when I want a quick thriller too

I am taking a slight break since this book did put me in a bit of a reading slump because of how dense and dark it is and honestly scarily reflective of currents times which I didn't want to read with everything going on despite its brilliance and relevancy.
I actually have to read the first book again for class soon so I plan to finish this soon so I can reread the first one again (which i'm really excited for)

starting to wonder why i've been avoiding shakespeare all this time

currently reading for one of my classes and i'm never really read shakespeare before considering i had such bad experiences trying to read his plays in high school. however now a few years into university im really enjoying this and understanding the language so much more fluently now to where i might just start reading shakespeare more now

i'm a big survivor fan and after watching her dominate australian survivor vs the world i immediately ordered this. i'm really enjoying it but unfortunately between school and personal reasons reading has taken a bit of a back seat for me

this is so good so far omg

reading this for a class but i think there's so much wisdom here and well written. I think there's so much to take way here and is very relevant for today and i'm actually excited to read it
