I try not to DNF books, but these characters are so unlikable and I wonder how the rest of this book will redeem itself. Disappointing after being such a big fan of Abby’s books and anticipating the release of this one for so long!

I was starting to doubt that listening to the audiobook was okay and that maybe I should switch to the ebook but I’m glad around 40% in, it started to click more. I was getting lost with so many names and the back and forth between the past and present but it got better for me after. Not sure if this will be something others experience too.
