The introduction is quite interesting but a bit tedious. The points made about the eerie, the lurking, the not quite graspable as qualities of a gothic novel connected with a specific architecture reminds me of the current aesthetics of liminal spaces, so that was interesting to compare

So far it’s super funny, some things are subtle, there are twists, you have an opinion and than it gets challenged every chapter.
