Should I even finish? Do not really care about these characters at all…

Listening to the audiobook and finding it very hokey. Not sure I can finish. Yet so many people love it! Should I stop of stick with?

Everyone loves this book, but I’m starting to think it may be a DNF for me…I’m half way through and I couldn’t care less. Does it get better somehow???

Great literature? No, not really. But a charming and readable whodunit. Great for New Years reading before the Christmas tree!

Listening to this on CD. Tom Hanks narrates!

I don’t usually read much nonfiction, but I enjoyed this. Goldstone pulls together the complicated threads of the Hapsburgs (and their many children…seemingly all named Maria) and some strong women who played an integral role in 18th century Europe. Its not period I know a ton about, and I enjoyed learning more.

Expect a lot of Arthurian lit while I prep to teach it for the first time in like 8(?) years!

Lucy enjoyed this, so I promised I would read it too!

I’m gonna try, but I may never finish this book. 😩👎
