It's been such a long time since I've been able to read for fun. With high school officially reaching its end, I'm really excited to be able to delve back into books before college! I'd appreciate some recommendations- particularly for any books on social justice or feminism.

Between the World and Me wastes no time in jumping right into the issues of racism and white supremacy​ in America. Written in the form of letters to his teenaged son, Coates' language and metaphors throughout what I've read so far are striking and powerful. Although "excited" isn't the right word, I'm intrigued to finish this book and apply Coates' story to my own life as a white, privileged woman.
