Man I’m not even at the part that makes me cry but knowing it’s coming and seeing the change in now I feel about this asshole character who I spent all the first book hating has me in TEARS. I thought I was strong enough for this series after a decade away. I am not.

The only reason I’m reading this is bc I forgot my other book at work :/ on a more positive note I think this might finally become interesting in like 50 pages

Oh I will cry over this again I can feel it I’ve missed my boy Todd

I am so enamoured with this book it’s going on pause so I can reread the original trilogy

My main gripe with this book is that the word count could be dedicated to something more interesting than than 500th mention of how bright and warm and special Romie was and how plain and average Emory feels in comparison. I know it’s a book abt grief but CMON.

If I don’t track this I’ll never get through it sigh

Discovered the author was Canadian not by looking at the profile in the back but by the spelling of “whiskey”

I realized part of my problem with this book is I’m picturing dee as the ultimate imposter LMAO

Man this is another one of those light hearted tongue in cheek humour books and I cannot stand these types of books. I find that this tone takes away any stakes, and any potential depth. I am going to toil and suffer everyday with this book unfortunately.

How is there a repeated line left in here. How didn’t someone see it and remove it?? Whack

This series only exists because the author realized everyone loves Grayson and she could make money off his story not being over in and that’s why Avery got with the other freak in the first series. I live in my delusion where Avery/Grayson is still endgame

In the acknowledgments the author says was basically like “delete the first half” and she should have! This book should have started with the wartime aspect! Instead we slog through ballroom scenes, then the war breaks out, then there’s a year time skip and these freaks are talking about MARRIAGE? SO much is happening it’s all getting skipped over to get us to the next plot point.

I can only hope I die or this book bursts into flames so I have an excuse not to finish it
