Unsure about this book; it's like a diary without a goal

This book has me hooked... which is so strange as it's all things that I am not hooked to... portals, magic.

This turn with mom and Cordy's response to mom's "turn" (trying to avoid spoilers) is really catching me in all the feels. Like, I get that it's to be a quicker, shorter read BUT I also know that this feels super rushed to get to that spot in the plot. I just do not know.

When you buy a book because of it's cover... and end pages... and the prettiness of it... you find yourself in a story that you have 0 clue about. Like zero 0. So far, very enjoyable.

No... nononoNONONO! NO! Why did I pick up a book with a dog? And now the dog is missing... and the title of the book is about FINDING Lost, which is what she named the dog [Lost]. No. I swear to all that is holy if something happens to this dog, I'm done.

This is so full of foreshadowing that I'm nervous and not even that far in yet!

I am so desperately going to miss these people....

Different than others by Backman but so simliar. It's a journey and I'm here for it.
