Second read through and still so funny

THEORY @ CH. 12: Amy is actually a Ward D patient experiencing a delusion that she's a medical student. Jade, Sawyer and possibly the other patients are alternate personalities/aspects of Amy. Cameron really works at Ward D and Amy has incorporated him into her delusion as an ex-boyfriend/crush.

I have a feeling Amy is actually schizophrenic because of that little girl from her past.

I've never had a book make me physically laugh out loud. A few pages in and I'm already laughing! If you're a gamer I highly recommend reading this! Even if you're a slight gamer! "Trailblazing Crazy Cat Lady" Achievement ahahaha! I love it! I'm going to enjoy this series!

Backman writes hockey like it's a war for the soul. The second game is intense, but it’s the small, quiet moments that wreck you. Just read a scene with Benji that proves he has the biggest heart in the whole town, hidden under all that armor. It captures exactly why we love sports: for a few minutes, everything makes sense and the world is simple. But I have a bad feeling the crash is coming.

The dramatic irony in this book is suffocating. Everyone in Beartown is celebrating and preparing for the 'best day ever,' while the we (the readers) are just sitting there watching the fuse burn down. It’s a masterclass in tension—not the scary kind, but the 'human nature is disappointing' kind. I’m scared to turn the page.

The Crash. The God Complex turns lethal. Kevin views Maya's 'no' as a malfunction in a world that always tells him 'yes.' The horror is in his entitlement. Amat becomes the witness—the 'Invisible Man' who sees what the town refuses to acknowledge. The hockey story ends here; the survival story begins. Amat now holds the grenade that could blow up the entire town.
