Up to now, it’s felt like a whole lot of exposition. It took forever to reach Sarantium, although the end of that journey felt rushed with all that had gone on to that point, and we’ve finally met the Emperor and Empress.
Saying that “Crispín might have acted differently if he’d known this or that fact” all the time is a tad excessive.
