Not a bad book - but not an incredibly interesting one yet, either. Tom is very generic, with no outstanding qualities beside his psychic powers, and no apparent faults, either. Gregory, on the other hand, is apparently a misogynist and also kind of an asshole. I'm waiting to find that it's all part of his plan to keep Tom off guard, but I don't hold out any great hope.

I strongly suspect I am never going to finish this book. But I refuse to take it off my "currently reading" list from sheer stubborness. I'm kind of disappointed because when this author's first book came out I enjoyed it so much.

About half of my Authority comics seem to have disappeared at some point over the years. I suspect I lent them out and never got them back. Sadness - I really wanted to read vol. 1. And I suspect I'll never be able to afford to replace the Absolute Authority.

I call this book "Cal Leandros #9" because that's basically what it is. Another Cal and Niko book with the numbers filed off and the ages reversed.

This is probably the worst (okay, that's not true, third worst) storyline The Authority ever did, but I gleefully buck popular opinion and admit I love it, if only for the moments with Midnighter and Apollo. Apollo in particular got some very emotional moments ("You have to come back. You always come back!" ZOMG) that make me love this despite myself.

I really like most of the stories in this anthology (you can tell by the fact that it's been read to death) but the "future" section is probably the least interesting. No doubt due to overall lack of Watson.

I love Sherlock Holmes sci-fi, especially when Watson is the realistic one and Holmes is the one who thinks Martians and time travelers are perfectly normal clients.

Better than I expected so far. The focus is on other characters besides Holmes and Watson so far, which is an interesting approach.
