Re-reading. Read for the first time in middle school and I remember liking it.

This is really gory. I'm going to keep going for now, but this chapter was horrific.

I know I've read Animal Farm, but I can't remember if I've read this. So here we are!

Rereading

This isn't a book that I'm particularly interested in (it's a book club pick), but I'm trying to keep an open mind.

I read this in upper elementary or middle school and I remember it blowing my mind. I haven't read it since, so I'm excited to revisit it!

I keep having to take breaks with this book. Demon is making terrible choices right now and he's had terrible things happen to him and it's hard to watch it happen. I really hope the ending is worth it.

Not my usual type of book (not a westerns fan), but this was recommended by my dad. We'll see!

I'm having a hard time finishing this book. Too much conflict that never stops. I'm going to try to finish it, but oof.

This book is creepy. I want to put it down, but I can't.

Not super excited about this one, but it's a book club book.

More than halfway through and things are JUST now starting to happen. So not impressed with this book so far.

This book is so creepy.

I really like Steris.

"Some adventures are so small, you hardly know they've happened. Like the adventure of sharpening your pencil to a perfect point, just before it breaks and gets stuck in the sharpener. That, I think we will all agree, is a very small adventure. Other adventures are so big and last so long, you might forget they are adventures at all--like growing up."

Ugh. I don't think I'm the target audience for this book, the narrator drives me crazy, and the southern thing seems forced. If this wasn't a book club book, I'd have already given up by now!
