Second one felt too long for the point it was trying to make. Broke apart for me somewhere at the end. Could maybe be more 'punchy'. Trigger warnings here, though.

First read like a Pixar story.

Third time that I’ve read Italian Weird - my god, they all struck so true! This one being a cult classic, and a long time on my to-read list. It checks all the boxes for me: unease atmosphere, descriptive dread, ambiguous ending. The smaller format and chapter structure matches perfectly with the story. This is a must-read for weird fiction enthousiasts that want to immerse themselves in European Weird.

This is starting our great. It feels like a more modern day version of Lovecraft, with in-depth descriptions like Ligotti/Schulz.

'The Black Maybe' started a like it didn't hook me, only later I understood why it started that way. Great, horrific ending. Wauw.

'Walks Among You' wasn't really my thing.

'Sky Filled with Crows' didn't really had what the other stories got ke hooked. Lesser one, I would say.

'The Amber Complex' was a bit hard to follow at first, or didn't quite took me in, but towards the end, it really did, and boy, was it good.

‘Multiplied by Zero’ is horrific.

'In the Snow, Sleeping' is really horrifying, wauw.

'Return to the Midnight School' did me remind sometimes of Thomas Ligotti. Great atmosphere.

'The Time Remaining' is pretty scary and with original body horror, the kind that make you smile like a maniac. Maybe here and there it dragged a little. The style is similar like the previous ones. Great so far.

'Fogtown' is amazing. Original way of storytelling and haunting tale.

'To bite a dog' is great! Mostly the craziness factor gets me, the uncanny feeling.

Such a treat to have this collection. Amazing stories with a remarkable style.

This is truly a fantastic trip across fantastic lands. Great to see how we can push the boundaries further, to where reality can't reach. No need to try to figure out a background meaning or thought. It's fantasy, it's boundless, it's what makes reality feel like a dull place.
