220 page check in. Cruising through it, have wrapped my head around the characters, and the plans within plans within plans a bit better this time. What is in store next for Anjin-san??

Starting from beginning again, a 12 hour set back. Need to relearn all the Japanese it assumes you pick up along the way.

Making use of the new DNF shelf. I got halfway through this 1200 page monster a couple of years ago. I do intend to finish it one day.

It’s happening

600 pages in / halfway. Break for a different holiday read then will jump back in.

Unsure if I will get through all 1116 pages of this as I might get distracted by another book. Reading half or so might scratch the itch.

Re-read - Eiza is tackling this for the first time so I am coming along for the ride.

Part 2 of 5 done. This book is great but boy is it dense. Time for another break.

1/5 of the way through, taking a break.

It' great so far, just incredibly slow paced. Given how long it is I will probably pretend this is 5 books and read it bit by bit.

1200 pager letsgoooooo

About halfway - no idea what I was getting into. 1st quarter of the book covers a man made superflu which was accidentally released by the government wipes out 99%+ of people (would have been scary to read in COVID). Next quarter transitions into semi post apocalyptic vibes (survivors finding each other etc). Now we are heading into supernatural territory. See you in 2 weeks.

Here I go - have put off reading this for a long time in fear of it's 1200 pages.
