What the... O.O Massive book déjà vu! I know this, at least the first pages, or something that is really similar. Don't know where I could have read it, since I usually don't read ecxerpts online, but... I know this.

I can't believe how boring this is, especially in comparison to the first book!

Bought it as a used copy, and I can only shake my head at what some people consider as "condition: good". The book has oviously never been read and the pages are immaculate, but both its hardcover front and back are broken diagonally, and the dustjacket is torn; it looks as if someone tried to split it in halves with a karate chop. Who does such a thing?!?

Ich hasse es, wenn Übersetzer immer wieder auf die gleichen englischen "False Friends" hereinfallen! "Silicon" ist verd***t nochmal NICHT "Silikon", sondern "Silizium", und "irritated" ist (zumindest im aktuellen Zusammenhang im Buch) nicht "irritiert", sondern "genervt". Jetzt fehlen noch solche Treffer wie "Sinn machen" und "Lungen", und ich schmeiße das Buch an die Wand! >:[

Das Wort "erkoren", wie in "auserkoren" kennt man, aber wie lautet das Präsens dazu? Gerade gelernt: "erkiesen"! Ich erkiese diesen Begriff zu meinem Wort des Monats und bedanke mich herzlich beim Übersetzer des Buchs, Herrn Axel Franken. Da soll nochmal einer behaupten, dass das Lesen von Fantasy nicht bildet! :)
