So beautifully written! I am loving every sentence in a way I haven’t in a long time. Tayari Jones is an amazing writer! Reading slowly because I’m afraid of finishing!

Beautifully written but I probably wouldn’t have started if I knew the storyline. I don’t have too much interest in the lives of teenagers.

Already loving this story, and the writing as well.

I saw this listed on Obama’s Favorite Books list and started reading without knowing anything about it. Probably wouldn’t have if I knew more. I’m not sure Southern Crime Noir is something I will ever read again but at least this is captivating and well written.
