I have to say this book is worth sticking with. I previously found it a bit dry and a tough one to stick with, but if you bear with it, once you settle in, it’s actually a rich and fascinating history. I’m in love with this book.

Painstakingly researched but detail doesn’t alway mean excellence. It’s a bit of a dull chore to read so far.
