It's charming, I'm captivated by how unique the children are and by the whimsical story. It's definitely a cozy read. However, it does get redundant, not really plot wise, but in the way the characters communicate and especially their inner monologue. The way she writes Linus feels like a copy and paste but in different situations. I think the crush/ romance is unnecessary, but overall it's very charming.

I think its very whimsical so far. The way it writes reminds me of a Despicable me where things are exaggerated or kind of like an animated movie. I'm both intrigued and also struggling to move through it because I can't believe I'm only on page 48 when I feel like I've been reading forever

I think Halla is pretty immature BUT I’m starting to like her and I like Sarkis although I can’t believe not more has been said or done about the whole kissing thing

Okay I am now quite enjoying it. Halla isn’t as annoying anymore now that I’ve learned more about her. She’s inquisitive and annoying but it’s also endearing, especially when it’s from Sardis’ perspective.

Sarkis is just hilariously horny the entire time and it’s incredibly entertaining

So far I find Halla utterly annoying rather than whimsical or charming or funny. I don’t feel like most 36yr old women or people talk or act this way or are this dumb in a conversation.

I’m 27 and I’m pretty annoying so I’m just surprised Halla is THIS annoying
