Finished Book 2... man, what a good read! The first one was great, and this one is just as good if not better. Formulaic in parts with last-second heroic saves, miracles, and foreshadowed tragedies, but I'm so totally emotionally invested in the characters and storyline that I can't help but love it!

Book 1 of the trilogy completed. I'm not usually a big fan of fantasy but this was actually a really enjoyable read. Going to take a reading break before I tackle books 2 and 3
