This book is good, but so hard to read. I have a physical reaction to being reconfined in the pandemic.

The woman reading the audiobook should be brought in front of some sort of Truth & Reconciliation Commission for her accents.

I have been stuck in the middle of this book for eons because frankly it's gotten real dull. I don't have the patience for this shit where people wander on foot for ages. Esp if 1 of the 2 companions is mfing mute! I know the novel's storylines are eventually going to intersect in some climactic way etc. etc., but plz--Can fiction be a little less maddeningly drawn out than the brick-shoed plod of actual life? FUCK.
