hit a bit of a plateau again with this one, havent picked it up in a couple days. i kind of want to blame a really cleverly written review that wasnt marked as spoilery and yet told me all i needed to know about the ending. absolutely do need to pick it back up, though, and will finish it this week!

excellent reminder that when people post a negative review and snap in a bunch of out of context quotes that seem really ridiculous, they're often doing it maliciously, because the context actually added a lot of, well. context. never follow reviews blindly, folks!

ive been reading from the shadows so if u see me adding 6320437 books to my read -no i did not go insane. well yes i did but thats unrelated.

the amount of books i have started and not finished but also not dnf'd is CRIMINAL, JAIL. also, wtf am i reading a book about physics for? i do not have enough braincells for this

i have to prepare for a final that is forcing me to read 5 books i have never once had the desire to read, plus 1984, which did want to read eventually but not in the near future. if you see me update about very uncharacteristic books for me: i have not gone insane, ive only been academically cornered.

i want to live and view the world like this woman does. also theres a whole chunk that, as i read it, i desperately wanted to translate and show it to my absolute favorite teacher bc i think she would love it. so many thoughts.

did not once think i would be reading a sort of memoir by an hegemonically beautiful, privileged, white model -much less enjoying it as much as i am. she has... some brain she has

i am genuinely really liking this one!! still a slow read, but thats not the books fault -im just slow with non fiction

i have so many thoughts and not a lot of them are very pleasant. the main one: maybe some tropes should stay in fanfictions, where they belong

the thing about non fiction is that i feel like ive been reading for 6 whole eons and then i look at the page counts and ive only read like 9 more pages. hate the vibe. however i AM liking the more sciencey approach

i didnt read much through all of march and realized the month was ending and i hadnt hit any of my goals, so inhaled all my monthly poetry book, graphic novel and non fiction book and now im ahead of schedule. kinda chaotic of me, but if it works it works, hey
