no going to lie, a little nervous given the title as her boyfriend's last name is Wolf.

I'm enjoying the book but it seems to just keep going.

finally biting the bullet and listening to the last book of this wonderful series.

it's quite a slog as the protagonist is thoroughly unlikeable and unsympathetic and his cohort pathetic.

usually, it's a toss up if authors should read their own books. Sarah Rose does a good job so far but her voice sounds young so it feels like a teenager reading a school assignment to her class. which makes what might be simply humorous sound juvenile. I'm going to stick with it but will probably have to take breaks.

finally, someone said it! one of my biggest complaints with murder mystery movies/shows is when the detective tells the suspects not to leave town; they can't restrict your movements unless you're under arrest/have been arraigned. it really bugs me that mystery authors have continued this trend, probably because i mentally hold them to higher standards of fact checking than hollywood.

I'm really enjoying listening to the book but recommend doing so with a bird guide in hand so you can see the characters. (obviously not always possible and something I haven't done yet since I usually listen while driving or at work.)

not bad so far but how can Whitney be surprised word got out about the location of a celebrity's death when she herself told four people in only 12 hours?

reading this book has become a chore. Patricia has two moods: down and down-er. nothing brings her joy even before things start going horribly wrong. at least the protagonists of Wuthering heights and return of the native had passion. and it's not just her, seemingly everyone around her is unhappy, or at best experiencing ennui. the evening news is more uplifting. I have hopes now that things are starting to happen

a little disappointing in that I chose to read it in honor of Halloween and so far there are no literal ghosts. or spookiness

Thought provoking.

Hard to put down.
