Nigia Stephens is finished with The Signature of All Things
A pleasure! I loved Alma and I hated her. I so enjoyed the language and depth of the story. Only nearing the end did I feel a bit rushed. Still, there was lots of sharp turns and a simple strength and clarity.

Nigia Stephens is finished with Buddhism Plain and Simple: The Practice of Being Aware Right Now, Every Day
Clear and well written. This book had points that I finally understood. They left me with my jaw open and tears in my eyes.

I'm upgrading this one to 4 stars just for 4 of the first 7 stories!
Clockwork Fairies ROCKED. Again it was smart, with the real and fantasy meshed together. I already want this book in Hardcover for my collection.

The first three stories Fixing Hanover, The Steam Dancer and Icebreaker were epic. The next few not so much. But how do you follow up after those three? Looks like number 7, Clockwork Fairies will be the next great one. I hope to give this collection more stars soon.

Not bad! Still in there. Lots of Magic in this read and WAY less Steampunk vibe than I thought but I'm still with it.

The writing is very good. The story is shaky in spots but engaging. It's not as vibrant as I'd like but I like it.

Now, I'm in the deep end of the pool. The last three stories I just finished were really good. They were involving with more atmosphere and mystery. The sex is well visualized, engrossing and exotic. These stories varied and were not just horny victorian guys and gals and their devices. There was the flavor of Sherlock Holmes/Anais Nin going on in the writing. Still not exceptional but much better.

Not bad but not as fantastic as I thought. Still, it is enjoyable. There where two stories that could have been larger and easily more sensual. I think that is what this book lacks for me. It's way more smut and a bit silly than I'd hoped so far.

So far so good. Lots of foreshadowing and very exotic in a harsh and nasty way . Lots of interesting dynamics and voices cropping up.

Its good but something is missing. I wish it was written as a fiction. Paulo feels he's seeing and describing his story yet, there is something lacking in his language. The dream like quality his other books have is not here for me. I still like Aleph. I'm just not loving it like I thought I would.
