Enjoyed the book but it took me a bit to get through the day to day of sheep tending. Very much enjoyed the side notes about how sheep’s were brought to colonial America.

Great read. Have read other books by this author but not the series with this book’s protagonist. I will definitely go back to read others.

A lot weighing on this book given its status. I appreciated the history and liked the book. However, struggled through the second quarter section. Had to push through.

Really enjoyed this book. Great writing. Great story set in 1932 so also interesting to the US at that time. Loved Ordinary Grace too ( book that proceeded this one). May have to go back to more of his others. Really wonderful

Really enjoyed this book. I was familiar with Martha Ballard and had watched the PBS doc on her but still found this story so enjoyable to read. Really engaging storyline and real life characters.
