This is good, as usual, but I am getting a bit sick of Ruth and what I perceive as her self-obsession. Yes, I still like lots of things about her but ... Isn't it obvious that the writing is good when I start. to believe these characters are real, or is it lockdown. Anyway, thanks Elly.

I stopped reading after about 20%. Far too blokey for me.

I did not want to read this but felt I should because I kept seeing it everywhere. Surprisingly I’m loving it. Beautifully written but sad and confronting.
