The first two parts are nothing you didn’t cover in college Government 101 class. I’ve just started part three and I’m getting dangerously close to DNF’ing this book.

Justice Barrett is a Supreme Court justice. I expect more than her wetting her feet in publishing by giving us a Maymester of one of classes at Norte Dame.

pg 206. “25 ways to win with people” by john c maxwell. Read together with middle/high school adhd’er to grow skills.

I began 2016 on the same right of center page as this author. I sit here today in 2023, opposite him. I’m still more center than not, but I cannot consider myself a student of history & remain in my conservative roots.

However, as self-indulgent as the first chapter is, he and I will agree on one thing: Christian Nationalism is bad. I will take it a step further to call it heresy.

kinda dull. general examination of the military life of jackson during the acw. author clearly has a lot of time invested in jackson. bit of a travelogue as he tried to follow Jackson’s trail historically and literally. DNF, had to stop at chapter 17. might come back to it.

authors style is fine. little folksy, very jackson intelligent. feel like tom huntington did this genre better w/ his meade book.

An updated version of the 1985 work with a new forward by David Blight. A deep dive of detective work into Douglass’ family history. Was he who he said he was?
