On to Part II

Feels like this will be a quick read. Just need to continue to push through.

This is starting off very strange. Keeping an open mind.

This is definitely not my type of book but I'm pushing myself through it.

I'm really trying to understand the author's targeted audience. Because if it's black females, we have already experienced these travesties and don't need to be reminded of the inequities.

Not my type of book but pushing through it. It is at least holding my interest and easy to read.

The pace is moving along, thankfully

I'm re-reading this for the second time - and how we evolve as readers and writers. What turned me off instantly is when the author described the firm and how it has never hired blacks. Why even put race in this? Sprinkled throughout this is a racial undertone...and for what?

I'm pushing myself to get through this book this weekend. Onto something else in a few days.
