The grandmother is annoying and not endearing (20 year streak? Not Holiday’s problem and don’t make it). Holiday and Lucas’s banter is NOT cute nor fun; it’s straight up aggressive (and not in a sexy/spicy way). Again, the animosity makes their interactions uncomfortable. And Lucas sounds like an absolute jackass. Wtf?

DNF at 46%, page 168 in physical book. Tried really hard to finish this, but I'm just not feeling this right now and it's boring.

May come back to this at a later time, but there are many other books I rather read at the moment.

I'm surprised this book is so popular. It's quite boring. Love the octopus and his antics, but the rest of the stories are yawn. Debating if I should DNF...
