The way that I am in love with this ancient grumpy bird.

I accidentally put this book down for 2.5 ish months. but we back.

that’s the best hurt/comfort scene I have read in a while.

we only just got the reveal. way too late imo.

‘two bros chillin in a sauna 5 feet apart cause their not gay’ sent me.

we are 75% of the way through and the two main characters have finally decided to figure out what happened to their best friend.

CONTENT WARNING Explicit self harm. Truly comes out of no where and is very descriptive

Something I struggled with in the last book and is still present now is the girl hate, mostly directed to more typically feminine presenting women. I am trying to ignore it, but it will probably alter my final rating.

Why, oh why, are there hashtags in this book

The character Jan makes me so so mad that it almost ruins part of this book for me. She is frankly a horrible person, and I hate that she is so dead set on ruining things for Flora. I am hoping for some character development, but at this moment it is difficult to sit through.

This girls parents are pissing me the fuck off. Cannot handle it. My least favourite thing is books are parents meddling in their adult children’s lives. It makes me want to DNF books.

Okay even if Nova wasn’t Nightmare, they literally sent her to prison and were planning on executing her without a trial. The renegades are asking themselves why she is more distant and I am just like OF COURSE SHE IS. I mean if she was completely innocent she would still be super messed up because of all of it!

I am struggling through this one. I know she is young and is having a well deserved young dumb decision making period. But I don’t know if I really love reading about it. It is so atmospheric, but so so difficult to watch her act completely out of character.

If you are agréais of spiders skip chapter 39. Holy crap.

The epigraph for this story is from The Yellow Wallpaper. I read it for a college class and it is really painting a picture for what this story will turn out to be. A bit nerve wracking. Loving it so far though!

How is it that I haven’t read this before? I feel like I am in Prague. That is how insanely good the world building is.

Chapter 32 is speaking to me in many a way.

Also I think this maybe modern, gay, Harry Potter. They are frighteningly similar. But I am still really liking it!

Nevermoor has my favourite Christmas tradition. And I can’t fathom how the author came up with it. Also the rivalry between jack and morrigan is great. And Jupiter is an amazing referee.
