They’re calling it the least romantic romance of all time.

Against my better judgment, I picked up a book with a male POV. The main character is just so boring, and there’s no romance to speak of, just sex. Which would be fine, except there’s nothing to take up that space. I’m hoping the murder mystery heats up or something.

I am loving this prologue. The last paragraph sounds like the opening spiel of Law and Order.

I don’t love the time jumps. And I hope this book isn’t just endless descriptions of poor orphan children suffering followed by descriptions of stealing.

They keep mentioning “buckets of dragon bloodstone” as a unit of currency. Apparently the Fade economy suffers from Zimbabwe-style runaway currency inflation.
