So far: contradicting and not helpful. Might finish, might not. I have never heard of this book until I found it by browsing here on GR. I am interested in the criticism and effect it might have had since its 1972 publication.

Chapter 11

I'm reading this just for myself and I am enchanted with Pyle's writing.

Very dense ideas and history but magnetic writing style that is a joy to hold in my hands. Can't quite put my finger on it as I don't feel smart enough to explain the ideas back. But I really do like the writing.
