A bit too soap-operay for me. Within the first couple chapters you find that her brother is deathly ill, their uncle stole their money, the love of her life has left her, etc etc etc. just a bit much and kinda makes my eyes roll.
I was very excited for a roman-gladiator fiction novel from a strong woman POV,
