Stephanie is starting North of Normal: A Memoir of My Wilderness Childhood, My Unusual Family, and How I Survived Both
Wow. If you're feeling like a bad parent, this book will help shift your perspective. 😂 It's up the same alley as Glass Castle and Educated. It's heartbreaking and shocking with an unexplainable flavor of warmth and love mixed in.

I couldn't put it down. Finished to today and now I'm watching the movie. As always, the book is waaaaay better.

I highly recommend this memoir.

Stephanie is starting Everything Is Tuberculosis: The History and Persistence of Our Deadliest Infection
Super informative and interesting. I had NO idea the history of TB nor its impact on so many aspects of our culture and communities.

Stephanie is starting The Sound of Gravel
Uggh. Ruth’s story is a heartbreaking as it is riveting. She tells her story with courage and artistry. This is one I’ll not ever forget. Eerily similar To Glass Castle and Educated. Dysfunction has a universal stench, I guess. But resilience also shines through them all. I highly recommend this book.

Stephanie is starting The Last Thing He Told Me (Hannah Hall, #1)
It was entertainment, but there were many characters I would have liked to know better.

Stephanie is starting Sitting Pretty: The View from My Ordinary Resilient Disabled Body
I love Rebecca! How could we ever convince the world that they need to read this book about what it’s like to live in a disabled body in a world consumed by ableism? I don’t know!

This book mattered A LOT to me. She puts articulate words to so many nebulously painful experiences I’ve had; feeling of being both invisible and in the glaring spotlight at the same time.

⚠️handful of curse words contained.
