Taking a break to read this year's Hugo nominees. Ballots are due by 31 July.

Taking a break so as not to burn through this too quickly. (There's one really frustrating thing about this book: Many of the books reviewed and/or mentioned by Moorcock aren't readily available in the US.)

Taking a break. This has to be one of the most sluggishly paced books I've read in a long time.

I'm taking a bit of a break from Stand on Zanzibar because I'm been having troubling staying that focused this week. Dreadful Skin is a significantly less challenging read, but it's quite good.

Somewhere around 75-100 pages in, the style finally clicked with me. There are still some rather difficult bits (like the bizarre, intertwined stream-of-conciousness/adverts), but I think it's going to be relatively smooth--if slightly slower than usual--sailing from here on.
