Obsessed. Lynsey’s story about getting her career in photo journalism started is down to earth but also thrilling.

I bought this book from Aaron at one of his talks thinking it would be a fun picture book and I wanted his signature in it. To my surprise I've actually really enjoyed reading this from cover to cover. It's perfect for me now as I don't have as much time to read big chunks at a time. He's funny, honest, and shows so much of his process. And a designer and a snowboarder, I'm OBSESSED.

This book is a lot like game of thrones. Similar gory stories about family's and towns. But it's written with such a fast pace and the detail is scare. The dialog is also scare. But when they are included they're good. In game of thrones there is way too much extra detail and dialog that the story moves at a snails pace. That's why the show is so much better than the books.

Petty boring so far and so hard to keep track of all the characters after putting it down and then picking it back up again

I would have never got pulled into this book if it wasn't the only thing I had to keep me company on a Saturday and the DMV. It is very detailed, but eloquent. I don't know the history of the story, so it's like a novel for me because I don't know what is going to happen next.

It's a weird thing: I bought this book at a signing event after I saw Lisa Genova speak at the Connecticut forum. This is the first time I'm read a novel after I've met and heard the author speak and it's very weird. I really picture her telling me the story. The writing is similar to her speaking.
